Something Old, Something New ~ a simple fall tablescape

Welcome…Thanks for stopping by!  I put together a simple fall tablescape a few days ago and I wanted to share it with you.  This is something that you can can dress you dining table with and leave there through Thanksgiving!

For the centerpiece I started with a simple burlap table runner.  Then I added greenery.  I used artificial greenery in muted colors but you could also use real greens (for placing greenery details read my previous post “Simple Fall Decor.”)  Once the greenery is placed I added 3 medium sized heirloom pumpkins, a white in the center and a green on each end.

Then I scattered white Baby Boos and mercury glass votive holders throughout the centerpiece.

For the place setting, I started with copper hammered charger plates.

Then I added my great-grandmaother’s china plates.  They are white and brown with gold trim, which is a perfect color palette for fall.  The stacking order goes as follows; dinner plate, salad plate, cotton napkin, bowl, saucer, white Baby Boo.

I finished the table setting with my great-grandmother’s crystal wine glasses and silver flatware.  Lastly, I added 3 antlers round the large white pumpkin for a touch of rustic whimsy.

I hope this inspires you to create your tablescape this fall.  If you do it now you’ll have way more time to enjoy it and you’ll have more time to focus on your guests and that turkey on Thanksgiving Day!

Blessings ~
