Peppermint Hot Cocoa

1/3 cup heavy cream

3/4 cup mini semi-sweet chocolate chips

2 1/2 cup whole milk

1/4 cup sugar

1 tsp. peppermint extract

whipped cream (optional)

marshmallows (optional)

chocolate sprinkles (optional)

In a medium saucepan, heat milk, cream, sugar, chocolate and peppermint over medium heat.  Stir often, until it comes to a simmer.  Pour hot cocoa into mugs and garnish as desired.  (makes 4 8 oz. cups)

Sit by the fire and enjoy!
